Although the RMPA had recently announced a new handicap range of 6 to 8 goals, it was asked to reconsider this range by a number of the committed high goal teams.  With some teams asking for the handicap range to remain at 10 to 14, and also interest in the 6 to 8 goal handicap range, RMPA has decided to run both leagues concurrently.  Both leagues would be played in the Klang Valley, at the Royal Selangor Polo Club and Taman Ekuestrian Putrajaya.

In 2019, RMPA will run two leagues:

1. RMPA International League
   • 10 to 14 goal handicap range
   • The tournament dates are:
     1. RSPC Open                               14^th to 24^th August
     2. RMPA International League Final 4^th to 14^th September
   • The RMPA International League will therefore consist of four tournaments in 2019: Thai Polo Open, Thai Polo Masters, RSPC Open and RMPA International League Final.

2. RMPA National League
   • 6 to 8 goal handicap range
   • Three tournament dates:
     1. RMPA Classic 25^th July to 4^th August
     2. RSPC Open 15^th to 25^th August
     3. RMPA National League Final 5^th to 15^th September

Entry Fee for each the leagues shall be as follows:

1. RMPA International League MYR 70,000
2. RMPA National League MYR 60,000

Teams entered for the International League will be given a free entry to the RMPA Classic in the National League, if they so wish.
