Suspension BP Polo, Dato’ CC Beh and Datuk Chevy Beh

As required under Rule 14.4 of the Royal Malaysian Polo Association Polo League Regulations, the RMPA has informed all member clubs that the Disciplinary Board has on 3 July 2014 handed down its decision on a disciplinary inquiry concerning BP Polo and Dato’ CC Beh and Datuk Chevy Beh as follows:

BP Polo

As against BP Polo, it has been suspended from participation in all RMPA sanctioned tournaments or matches with immediate effect until 31 December 2016. This suspension includes a default suspension from 1 January 2016 – 31 December 2016, for failure to pay a fine of RM5,000.

The suspension arises from the withdrawal of BP Polo from the National League Final Tournament on 26.4.2014, without the permission of the League Committee contrary to Rules 4.4 and 5.9 of the RMPA Polo League Regulations and Rule 1 (g) of the Hurlingham Polo Association Rules 2103.

The Disciplinary Board notes in its decision that while the suspension is imposed against BP Polo, it does not expect Dato’ CC Beh, Datuk Chevy Beh or Mr Joevy Beh to individually participate in any RMPA sanctioned tournaments or matches for the period of BP Polo’s suspension.

Dato’ CC Beh and Datuk Chevy Beh

As against Dato’ CC Beh and Datuk Chevy Beh, they have been suspended from participation in all RMPA sanctioned tournaments or matches with immediate effect until 31 December 2015 for having brought the sport of polo into disrepute.

The decisions are final and binding.
